i havethe standard stock sound system in my 98 a4. my friend has a 98 a4 w/ the stock bose system that he hardly uses and has offered to sell me.is it fairly plug and play,or is there more to it?

Not worth the effort installing the Bose...unless he's giving you them for free...it would be more difficult to retrofit the bose into your setup than installing new aftermarket components.
