am trying to find out if a set of 03 RS6 front brakes will mount up on my 03 A6 2.7T. The person selling it told me that they seem like they will bolt up to my car because the bolt pattern is the same. We dont know if the offset is the same and will I need to get new caliper mounting brackets machined. Can somebody help?

Im gonna give you a bump on this one... Id like to know the answer myself.  Since the RS6 is a hotrod I would assume that the brakes are monsters.  I would seriously consider getting RS6 rotors and brakes and putting them on my 03 2.7t as well.

i think theyll fit, im just not sure about the mounting bracket. if we have the same on our cars or if we need one machined. we'd also need larger wheels to clear the calipers. ive got 19s that are 95% sure to clear the brakes, but i dont think my OEM 17s will. I may need to get something else.

When I was replacing my brake systems on my car, I asked the same question from my dealer, and his answer was 'No'... he said it won't fit. So, I ended up getting the original S-line brakes, which is slightly bigger than regular A6.  You might want to check with your dealer, before you pony up some money!

Well mine aren't that bad, they just said that installing chip will void the warranty. I just don't want him to buy a part and realizing later that it cannot be installed. After all, it is not Chevy Malibu. A6, alone has 4 different front rotor sizes for c5 model.

I'm almost 99% sure that they wont' fit since the hub offset is different, that is why us a6 4.2 guys are S.O.L. for bbk options.  For the $ your almost better to get a kit from ECS-tuning or something similar to that.  Good luck and let us know.

The car is in service today. They gave me a 2008 A4 2.0T convertible for a loaner. So, I'll find out if theyre warped or not. They told me its not covered under warranty, so I may be in the market for new brakes and may as well do an upgrade for the same amount

The RS6 calipers won't mount up to the stock 2.7T caliper mounting bracket. The RS6 is huge in comparison.

Damn, shot down again
So I just talked to the dealer, mine are warped. I'm officially on the lookout for brakes for spring time. I'm going to let these take the brunt of winter and salt and ****e. So far the 2 piece OEM brakes from ECS seem way nice. Possibly a stage 3? I just talked to John there, very kool guy. I want their brakes now.
