Default Zumbach new york audi dealer

took my Audi to Zumbach, a Manhattan, New York dealer, to have the ignition switch replaced due to a recall. I got a call from them later that day telling me that the reason my ignition key wouldn't automatically recoil back to the run position after I started the car, was not because of the defective switch but rather because of the tumbler, which will cost $450 to fix. I called my regular mechanic who's German and an Audi specialist, he confirmed my suspicions: the tumbler had nothing to do with it, the recoil mechanism is in the electric part of the switch, the part they are supposed to replace.they were trying to cheat me! I was outraged, i called them back and I told them what I thought, they put the switch inlike they were supposed to and never said a word and the switch works perfectly. Unbelievable!
It's $450 they would have taken away from my kids, Zumbach never again!

Samaba, there's something fishy about you. All of you're posts revolve around Bruno's VW/Audi, like you're an advertisement.

If you rep. Bruno why did you go toa manhattan dealer?

I think you might be a mole.

Dear T, I went to Zumbach Audi for the very simple reason that the switch I was getting replaced was part of a recall, therefore all the workwas free including a wash!
No, I'm not a mole, I just think when you finally meet the right mechanic it's like meeting the woman of your life, I don't want to share my lady but I'll gladly tell anyone about Brunos. I would buy another Audi just because of him! He's that good. Do what you want with the info. Sam
