hi Guys - not sure whats going on but the emergency brake lever on my car (1998 A6) will not engage - for starters I thought a coin or pen or something might have made it's way in there - did find pencil in there but nothing else and the lever moves up and down perfectly - the brakes work as well - but the button in the front does not press all the way and it does not engage in any position?

Anyone else experience this or if this has been discussed somewhere - would appreciate a pointer.
