I bought an 01 A6 2.7T with 80,000 miles in July 07 and have had non-stop problems. Some vacuum line that the repair shop had never heard of going out went within a couple weeks, the water pump started leaking in August and now its the oil pan.
2002 A6 3.0q - 95k and loving it. I'm currently upgrading the speakers in the car because I know I'm going to have it for awhile! Had the timing belt/tensioner/wp done at 92k, stealership really railed me at $1800 for it. Still love the car tho.
Bought my '03 A6 2.7 T a few months ago. It had 31K miles. It's my daily driver and I put about 100 mi/day. I'm up to over 43K with no prob's. I love this car.
'96 2.8 283,000 (miles) U.S. car, damn kid's drive it all the time '99 2,8 Quattro 263,000 klms...i just wish that the cruise control worked, always seem to be going 140k. without it.
Love both, planning to do the back shocks on the '99 myself soon.

Bought my A6 2.7t july,17 2006 at 67k. I just hit 117k a couple weeks ago. Greatest car ever. Chipped it at 75k and no fixes or anything out of the ordinary wear. Only turbo car I can imagine that a teenager can put 50k in a year n a half w/o any hiccups. Just awesome german engineering. Looking to add on to my awd collection with a 4.2 C5 or a 1.8t B6. Probably will hit 200k in a couple years.
I have a 01' A6 2.7T with 89k miles on it. The engine runs perfectly smooth even chipped, love the handling in the snow, and just have the 80K service done and thats all.
