Default Rear Fog Light Problem

I got the rear fog light warning light on and the dealership said someone installed the rear taillights from an audi that does not have rear fogs. How can I tell which lights on ebay will work with my rear fogs? Will these work.

I use them in really crappy weather - heavy rain or heavy snow. They can make a difference then, especially if you're going slow and some neanderthal in an SUV (thinking he's impervious to icy roads) comes barreling up. If I didn't live in an area known for that (and fog, as my city is at the juncture of two major NY rivers, and we get pea-soup fog a lot in the spring/fall), I'd modify my dual rear fog setup for two extra brake lights just because it looks nice that way.

I never use my rear fog but my warning light is on (left rear fog light)because who ever had the car before me replaced the rear tail lights with a set of lights that are not OEM and don;t have a place to put your rear fog bulbs. Instead of replace with the over priced OEM taillights I was wondering if these would work.

Are you talking about the actual lights (bulbs) or are you talking about the harness they go in? Any bulbs from an auto store will work, you just have to make sure you get the right ones. Frankly, I would take them out on your way to the store and bring them in with you, just to be sure. Some have two little balls on them which help in keeping them in place. However, there are actually two different bulbs which look exacly the same, the only difference is those two little balls are either dead even, or a little offset, one being higher than the other. Make sure you get the right bulbs or you'll still get the same warning even after you replace the "correct" bulb.
