What would you pick between the Audi Q7 3.6 Premium and Range Rover Sport HSE? I like both models but i have heard that the RRS has a lousy residual value and reliability. I have test drove both cars and liked them both. I'm confused of which car to choose. And I'm looking to purchase within a few days.

Thanks.

I have had a 3.6 P since June, now with 4200 miles. First Audi ever, came over from a 2000 ML320. Not a single problem so far. Can't say that for the ML and as for reliability, it beats the pants off wife's 06 Honda Odyssey - yes HONDA.  I have no experience with the Land Rover products, but I have not read any rave reviews about their reliability.  I have read many posts of former Land Rover owners who switched into the Q and could not be happier from a reliability standpoint.

The 3.6 P also gets over 22 mpg real world highway miles if that is important to you. I got nearly 23 on a 180 trip. And a smooth and quiet ride.

The RR is definitely the current celebrity "bling" car - if thats the style/image that is appealing to you, you probably have already made up your mind.

Look at this pos about the Q7 vs X5. The RR is mentioned numerous times, esp by audifanand4:

ROFL.  Land Rovers/Range Rovers are pure JUNK.  Maybe that will help your decision making?

I can't comment on the reliability but I think the Range Rover looks way better.  I love Audis but when it comes to SUV's, I don't like the Q7 that much.

Value on the Rovers tanks the minute you drive off the lot.  Check 'em out on ebay...not cheap, but not good on resale value by any stretch.

I'm with 12 on the looks.  The rovers do look good.
