Default wheel bearing

how much does a wheel bearing cost to get done....on a 2000 audi a6 4.2

Not sure about on the A6, but most guys say it's around $300 or so on the A4, so it's probably a similar cost. Or you could buy the part, remove the hub, take the part and hub to a shop, and give the guy $20 to press it in for you, then reassemble the car at home and go get an alignment. If you have the tools to do this and the aptitude, you could save probably $150-200.
