after chipping is exhaust & DP worth it??

This post makes me think. He has dyno results to prove that with a chip the after market exhaust and downpipe are almost worthless????
I have also heardthe opposite.Has anyone done their own research? I am planning my next purchase but if the money spent isnt worth it, why spend it?

I didn't even look at the posts, but I can tell you that I had a decentboost in performance with the DP. Not sure what else to tell you. Remember, you won't get a bump from the catback, only with the downpipe.

I wonder how many cells were in the CAT on his DP, or if he used a test pipe? There should have been a performance gain. Definitely not as significant as the chip, but a definite gain.

Cheers!

IMO small gainsfrom exhaust and cai single digits.
More audible, throaty form. Even a bad droan. depending on what type of exhaust.
If one hates the droan stay away from the ghl type.

If you are going with a no-cat downpipe you will definitely notice a performance gain. Even a downpipe with a high-flow cat should be more gain than cat-back exhaust + intake.
