I'm looking ahead to when I may have to replace my stock turbos. Can anyone share experiences with what they have done with the A6 2.7T? Hybrids or K04s? What other intake or exhaust changes were necessary to accommodate the different turbos? Change in performance and gas mileage? Approximate costs?

The only bolt on would be the ko4's from a RS4/6. This is a potent upgrade, but if you want more, contact Agtronic here
