Default Magnaflow mufflers

Ok so I'm pretty new to all this, so be easy haha. Anyhow I have a 2002 B6 A4 1.8TQ and It had the stock exhaust on it. I didn't care too much about performance gains, so I just had my exhaust shop cut off the stock mufflers and throw on some magnaflow 14832's. It does'nt sound hardly different then stock, just a bit of a deeper hum. I didn't really want to upgrade the whole piping set-up because I didn't want it too loud. My question for you guys is that this being a california car( I live in oregon though) is there another muffler somewhere along the piping that is keeping it quiet because I have heard cali had different emissions shit. and If so, If I remove it would it have a ricey tin too it cause thats what I would like to avoid. I've just started to mod my car and am going in for revo next week. I'm so stoked, I love this car...

Any help would be appreciated amd believe me I search these forums more then anyone and I just can't get the definitive answer I need

Late

Default RE: Magnaflow mufflers

Well i just recently did my exhaust on my Audi A4 2.8L. I cut off my resonator and old muffler and added just a Magnaflow 14816. It sounds really nice, but the only bad thing is, before the car warms up, it does sounds ricer because of my cats going out. If you want the sound to be a little deaper cut off your resonators, and upgrade your CATs. They also make some nice test pipes that will eliminate the Ricer sound, which actually replaces your CATs. But let me know how it works out for you.

Magnaflow steet series all sound the same, it doesn't really matter. If you have resonators, you could remove them for a deeper and louder note.
