Hi
"Karcher" do a traffic film remover, its called TRF200, its very good and used neat on your alloy's will do a great job, keep it away from the paintwork. Dilute 50 to one and use as a shampoo too, you may have to buy 5 gallons of the stuff but it keeps and you won't regret it. Hope this helps

I don't think rotor metal shaveings can be removed with something formulated to remove traffic film (road dirt / oil / grime)

Try detailer's clay

wax and grease remover or soap and water, those are your best bet

its pretty much brake dust thats burned into the wheels, it can also be metal particulate if you had semi matalic pads. best thing to do is, get a good brake cleaner (not brakekleen, something at removes brake dust) soak wheels and let it sit for about 5 minutes and rinse off, than go over it with a claybar to get off the stuff that really burned in, if your lucky youll get away with just cleaning them.
