RE: Free Carfax's For Everybody - 1/10/2008 4:16:44 AM    Kevin   Posts: 600 Joined: 1/10/2005 Status: offline I don't think anybody snitched.  Carfax received dozens of requests from different IP addresses over a very short period of time.  This made it rather obvious that the log on information had been distributed in violation of the carfax terms.  Based on car fax's e-mail, if there were two dozen inquiries at $24.95 a pop, it seems Carfax may be charging someone's credit card $500.  A very painful lesson.
