Hello -

I just purchased a 04, Audi A6, 3.0, quattro, V6 with about60,000 miles

This morning when I got to work before I turned the car off I noticed my BRAKE light “flashing� constantly on the dashboard. Should I be worried or is this a common problem for Audi’s? I am going to take it to be serviced – But I just wanted to be prepared for a huge out of pocket expense or a major problem. [/b]
Also should I drive the car or have it towed? [/b]

on the b5 s4 the flashing and beeping brake light means that the brake fluid is low.

I took it to a mechanic and I need rear brake pads and rotters. Total came up to $526.00

You should buy the pads and rotors and install them yourself - you'll save probably more than $300 of that money.

I'll buy brake fluid and get it done.

On the B5, 1996 to 2001, (O) means low brake fluid or
worn front brake pads.
