Exhaust leak question

Hi guys I am new to the forum and new to owning an Audi. First off I would like to say I love the car. We just received our first snow since I bought it and I was amazed. It was absolutelyphenomenal, I felt safer driving it than I did my 4X4 truck. Now to the matter on hand, my car has an exhaust leak coming from the flange that is between exhaust manifold and the downpipe to the cat. I put the car on a rack and I saw that there was a nut missing from one of the 3 studs. My question is does anyone know what the thread size and pitch the nut should be that goes on there. Thank in advance and any other ideas are welcome.

Its a special oval locking nut that holds the downpipes in place. You need to get them from the dealer, they should be gold when you get them. Just say you need the cat bolts and they should give you a pack of three, might as well replace them all.

Called the service dept and they told me that the nuts are just a regular 8m x 1.25 locking nut

well that doesn't sound right because they should be oval shaped, at least mine were when i had mine off. i suppose a locking nut would probably work about the same as long as the threads are the same though. i've noticed that a lot of times the service department has absolutely no idea what they're talking about sometimes though, because i've caught myself correcting them a few times.
