Default CV JOINT

Further to my earlier post re. transmission noise. Had new tyres fitted and they informed me that the gaiters on the cv joints were split. Have arranged to have these replaced but have a dreadful feeling that the damage to the cv's has already been done. Anyone any idea how much the cv's will caost to replace on an A6 quattro?

Default RE: CV JOINT

You can goto www.germanautoparts.com they sell them for cheap... depending on the year of your car, they will sell you the whole axle assembly, For my 96 Audi A4, they sell the whole axle assemply for $102.00 plus shipping, normal cost of a whole axle assembly is prolly more then $300 or $400
