Default The 'Forge' Splitter...

I know Forge is a 'creditable' manufacturer of Dump/Blow off valves, and they have came up with the idea of "The Splitter Re-circulating / Atmospheric Dump Valve"

I was about to buy a Recirculating Blow Off valve today, for my Audi A3 1.8T, untill i came across this beauty

BUT

I am not 100% convinced?

How can it blow out atmpspherically and create the 'whuuutshhh' sound at the same time as keeping the engine managment system happy?

What do you think?

is it worth it, or should i just stick to the FULL re-circulating valve for safety?

Cheers

the DV has the options for inserts that are either spacers or atmospheric bov-like. the adjustable one has the manually adjustable settings. full blow of [100%bo], partial blow off partial recirculation [50%recir], no blow off [100%recirc].

For me, having DSG/auto, it just woudlnt sound/feel right to have a bov type chirp. plus its at times, an annoyance. and depending on where you cruise through, be it highly patroled areas or if cops just like bust your balls, chances are you can be cited for that, which could possibly entail other citations if they REALLY wanna give you a hassle.

For me, I'll play it safe and stay with the standard forge DV. I'd rather let my intake make the sucking sound and the exhaust do the rest.

What kind of noise/sound will the FULL re-circulating Forge BOV make if any?

I understand it wont Blow off air into the atmosphere, but will it be any different to the stoke DV?

And whats DSG/auto mean mate im new to the lingo

DSG is the paddle shifting part of the AUTOmatics. DSG is actually faster than the regular manual A3s and it is basicly a clutchless manual mode.

not quite true.

the DSG has clutches, and is a fully automated manual transmission. Technically superior to a standard manual, but driving stick is more fun in my opinion.

Well I meant is as in you do not have to use the clutch when driving in DSG mode.
