Default Getting a 00 TT

I'm new to this board, just wanted to say hello to everyone. I have 99 turboed camaro, I'm trying to buy a 00 TT this weekend. I'm not sure what i'm going to do to it. It is going to be my daily driver. I wouldn't mind upgrading the turbo and putting a front mount IC on it. I'm 19 and a sophmore in high school.... Well Hello [sm=smiley31.gif]

Welcome Seth!
Be sure to read the "Start Here" post in this forum to get familiar with all the terms we use.

Which TT engine?

Check into Stratmosphere for some great TT products.

Did I read your post correctly? You're 19 and a sophomore in high school?

I'd flame my own ass if I was 19 and a shopmore in highschool[sm=smiley18.gif].... It's a 00 with 35000 miles on it, allwheeldrive, black on back.... As far as what kind of motor, doesn't the 00 just come with a 1.8 with 180 hp? [&:] I'm not really looking for speed as much as I'm looking for luxury and something to drive in the rain.... I'm sure it wounldn't cost an arm and a leg to make it quicker.... http://wwwheels.com/cfapps/car.cfm?I...05&cfreferrer= heres the website of it... My dad's going to cosign for it on monday.... It sucks only being 19 and not having enough credit.....[&o]

No... there is a 225hp version, too.
And yes, there are some really well engineered aftermarket mods that can be done to the TT that will get you more power, too.
Again, start with Stratmosphere.

My info (from Audi) says that the 225 engine was available in 2000. I don't think my info is in error, but if it is, I apologize for any confusion. Maybe the best thing is to see if anyone has a 2000 with the 225 engine.

OK... I sorted it out.
In fact, although it was available elsewhere in 2000, the 225 engine was not available in the US market until November 2000. Whether any got to the states from November through December is sort of moot because they were labeled 2001 anyway.
So... apologies for any confusion, but at least that's cleared up now.

It's cool.... Not a biggy Let me ask you this? Is it a stupid Idea to get the one with 180 hp? Would it cost all that must to add the power to it to compete with the 225hp one? Do you have a ball park figure of how much it'd cost to push 300hp?
