hey I love those wheels, I think they go well with the A6 shape. Can't wait to see them on.

BTW, do you have pics of your mini?
It was my first car in france. My mom had a mini, we bought two more. Then my uncle (a mechanic) and i stripped them to nothing! Boxes of bolts and parts.... Built oen wth three,  added a Detomaso Innocenti engine/trans, an original wood dash with center speedo... black paint, small thivk steering wheel... Did a few two wheelers with it on the french roundaboupts!!! Fun car but spent too much time in my uncle's shop! I then bought a FIAT Uno Targa.

Am I reading the numbers on the rims right ? Looks like 8.5x19, are you sure you have the clearance on your A6 2.8, and the right offset? If you fit the correct tires, your sidewalls can't be more than an inch high, meaning you'll feel every expansion joint, every ripple in the road into the cabin.

Yeah, ask the dealer who restores their wheels for them when they get chipped. It probably would be only another $200 to restore all four wheels to thier original luster.
Great choice!

I just paid $75/wheel to get my 4 BBS RC redone and they look like they just came out of the factory!

Oh yeah I cannot wait to get them restored. I am not going with original. I guess everyone just has to wait and see what I have planned for these.  :D

And yes I love my mini here are a few pictures. I have a double carb kit for it and a wood dash...but this is 1 of 2 that I know of that came this way from factory a 1300 super. There are some changes that I have done to it. Just have not taken any new pictures of it yet as I am adding the double carbs.

And this is it sitting at the dock..waiting for me to pick it up after its long journey from the UK to New Zeland to New Orleans then to Oklahoma.

Mini... if you got time... just restore them yourself... and be proud
I'm still wondering between these or MRR HR-4's...

Do you think there will be some problem with the brakes (312mm discs)... ?
Thinking about putting drilled discs + ceramic pads before the wheels.. just wanna make sure they'll fit after

If all of them have a little curb rash, it may make sense to have them repaired and restored.  Otherwise some good chrome cleaner, polish, and elbow grease should do the trick.  Please don't paint them!

Warning about 19" tires - make sure you avoid every pothole you see.  You may look like a drunk swerving down the road (I know I do on Michigan roads), but it will preserve the rubber.

They look really cool and the price was fantastic.

Heh even with the stock wheels now I avoid potholes like the plague. The MRR are pretty wheels, but I just like the look of the A8's on the A6. I will be getting better brakes once I get these put on. Slotted not drilled. :D

And yeah all 4 have a bit of damage, the previous owner decided to take his A8 offroading through a worksite to get to his truck. He thought since he had Quattro that it was worth it.

I just couldnt pass them up at the price.

Why shouldnt the wheels be painted? These are painted and look good. Not saying that I will, just asking why not.

Sweet mini! A classic, love the color!
I was young when I got mine, if it was now.... I would keep it.

two cars I owned and will own again: a 911 and a mini.

YOu can paint wheels, clear coat is better but hrader to find in my area.
Painting wheels look good, but might not be as durable.

I am acutally thinking about gettin the HARTMAN DTM RS4 replicas or RS^ replicas for my A6 and getting them painted GUnmetal for 75-100/wheel.

The top ones look great... they're perfect in their simplicity.  And Gun Metal!! i think that would look good on my A6.. mine is blue-silver.

Thanks Brice, i think i found my new rims!  do you think that the car is lowered? or the rims spaced?

BTW these are the A8 rims on the A6 in case you haven't seen them before.

Check out the Velocity RS4 rims at www.purems.com.  They are a 7-spoke available in a hypersilver (a little brighter than the OEM 17" rims). My memory may be faulty, but I thought they offered a bright silver and a black as well.  Price was a little cheaper than above and included an OEM Audi centercover.  I do believe these wheels are Chinese made, but so many OEM and aftermarket parts now are.

I like both the DTMs and the Hartmans.  What I'd like to know is how much they weigh.  If one weighs considerably more than the other than I would rather have the lighter wheel.

Mini - If you haven't put the new wheels on yet, could you weigh one for me?

i'm wondering the same thing as khardysius. how much do thoes bad boys weigh. i'm liking both. but, if one wheel outweighs the other by 5-10lbs, i'd rather have the lighter ones.

I love my Mini heh great little car with a 1310 high compression engine.

Those DTM wheels are pretty I prefer them offer the RS6 ones.

I will weigh it as soon as I can, they are not being put on yet as I still have some work to do on them. But, from what I can tell by lifting is that they are really light. I forget and try to pick them up expecting a lot of weight and almost launch them into the sky.

I have inquired with ACH Tuning about the weight. I'll post their reply as soon as I get it. I would guess 25 or so. Teh forged version is 21. Yo may ahve seen my wheel post and I was considering different wheels from BBS CH, Oettinger RE, RH Vesuv or Phoenix, ADR....

NOW I am leaning towards the RS4 DTM and would have GMP paint them Gunmetal maybe. Don't the DTM look great nothe A6 above!!!? Am just afraid to miis the lip. :)
Also I am looking at these two becausde of the lip! but they are so shiny :) I like the RS4 simplicity and the face will look bigger therefore making the wheels look more like 19's with a lip/dish in appearance/size. I would also use spacers if needed tommake sure the rmis are right at the edge of the fenders liek my CK used to be.

AT Italia 2 piece cast center forged rim $369

ASA ZR2 DISK: Low pressure CAst Rim, RIM Forged only $289
