Default I bought an S5!! audi newbie

Howdy Folks,

I'm new to Audi but I fell in love with the S5. I'm on my 2nd infiniti FX(great car). But the S5 is something special.

I test drove one yesterday and it was amazing. I know there are faster cars out there for that kind of money but hardly anything with it'sbeauty, abilitiesand refinement. It was raining and it was rock solid. The interior was superb.

The dealer took my money and ordered the car form Germany. The salesmen said they are WAY backordered. Decent guy, and truthful. He said it could take up to November to get here. My question is thus., Is he just covering his bases to be safe or is it really gonna take that long. If so why? Does that sound right to you guys?

Thanks for your thoughts and input. I look forward to being a good member of this forum.

That means by the time I can afford one, hopefully the demand will be caught up.

Thanks guys, I'm already going nuts thinking about the car and the wait.

Any dealer people outhere who read this? Perhaps you can shed some light on the wait time.

Thanks,

Did ya'll hear the rumor about a RS-5 yikes. twin turbo 4.2L V8. What a monster that would be.

Guys, the dealer called me today and said they got in a regular A5. I declined, he said the main two issues for slow delivery is Europe comes first and the demand for the 4.2L V8. Sigh.
