Ride height?
Hello all! Have been lurking for some time, and have become somewhat addicted to this forum.
Recently had a set of Vogtland coilovers installed on an '07 Premium package. Handling is phenomenal. The ride is stiff but bearable for the mostly highway driving that I do. My question: what is the stock height for this particular car? The installer set the suspension a bit low for my liking (25" ground to fender front, 25.25" rear), and I'm gonna attempt to raise it myself. I'm thinking more like 25.5-26" in front, with an equivalent rise in the back, or would this just put me back at stock height? Additionally, does anyone have experience with adjusting these particular CO's? From my understanding, the fronts can be done without removing the wheels, whereas the backs require at a minimum, wheel removal, and possibly more. Any input or links to past threads would be much appreciated. |
RE: Ride height?
I just measured mine and I have 27" front and rear.
How much was your Vogtland coilovers? I have the regular suspension and considering and upgrade. |
RE: Ride height?
Picked-up the CO's from Startup-Racing for a about $1200 delivered (height-adjustable only).Ran me another $300 for install. Startup was running a 10%sale at the time and not sure if they always include shipping or not.
So far, generally pleased. Cornering is so much more confident and flat. The thought was to avoid a RSB, as their rear spring-rates are set a bit stiffer to help with understeer. Still experiencing some mild roll in the back, so I'm thinking a NeuspeedRSB isin thefuture. Anyone have experience with theride height adjustment procedure? |
RE: Ride height?
Just curious - why avoid the RSB? It's a pretty inexpensive upgrade that makes a significant difference in body roll (IMO).
