I have a 2001 TT. On the driver's side door, the trim near the window is bubbling up around a 5 inch section. I'd like to get the door panel off and fix it myself, but realize that (after removing any screws) lifting the panel off the wrong way could break a support piece. The last thing I want is to have something rattling in the door.

has anyone successfully removed the door panel from a TT before and, if so, do you have any recommendations (ie, lift straight up vs. pivot so many degrees, then up). Any recommendations of the type of adhesive would be welcome as well.
