This guy is ralking about launching with a Tip tranny. Then Maverick says to hold the brake down and push the gas down all the way until you hear a click. is this guy full of it?
Ive held the break all the way down and give it a lil gas until its about 4-5 rpms and pull out the break, on my car. but ive never heard of putting the gas all the way down until it clicks
your car sort of acts like rwd when you do that. you need better brakes though cuz stock ones will only do it up to a certain point.

Its called brake torquing and you dont want to do it all that often. It generates alot of heat and can damage the trans. Nothing should click thou. On some of the newer cars with drive by wire it isnt even possible as the brake overrides the accelerater and limits engine revs.
he's probably talking about the the pedal being pressed down all the way. which can feel like a click. either way, anybody who abuses a Tip like that is an IDIOT!
brakestanding is for rear wheel drive cars mainly... you hold the brake just enough so it really only grabs the front wheels... leaving the rear wheels to rip in place...
