Riverside Audi in NJ...any recent experience???

I am buying 2006 A6 with 20k miles for less then $10k blue book retail price. I am buying it from out of state in NJ and its a certified car with all options..fully loaded. I still cannot believe that I am getting such a good price. I am suppose to see it next week but so far carfax is fine and all the pictures look ok...they are replacing some part for certification etc. but thats awful low price and I dont want to let it go.Anyone had any recent experience or purchasedany car recently from them? Anything that you can share to help me make an informed decision. Thanks a lot:)

Hey, just read my thread below. The dealership is terrible, nothing but nightmares (at least for me). Don't be fooled by carfax either, carfax only lists problems that were reported. Carfax report didnt tell me that my front window regulators were replaced, or that the ABS controller blew and was fixed. Also, my brother got into an accident and the whole front end of his car was fixed, but since it didnt go through the insurance it didn't appear on carfax. But anyways, check the car out front top to bottom if you do end up purchasing it, they tend to hide the cars in the garage so you can't see flaws in the paint. Good Luck

RE: Riverside Audi in NJ...any recent experience???

I brought a 04 A8 from Riverside Audi certified(well thats what they told me when I brought it). So a week goes by and the sales guy call me and tell me that the car didnt go through the certified process. After driving the car back to the dealership(1 1/2 hour) away. They had the car for 9 days. I had a little list for them to fix. They foot board on the back passenger door was one. They said they put a new part. The piece broke again after a week. Atleast they put in the computer it was a new piece otherwise I would of had to pay 392 for the part without labor at the other dealer. The car would not start a month later. I had to get it towed to the local dealer in Willow Grove PA. There service is pretty good. They saw the piece on back door was not new but they replace the part under a parts warranty(was not covered by cpo). They said my starter went bad that why it would not start. My defoster never worked so I brought that up too. They changed the back window and connectors. The connectors was bad and they was taped to the window with duct tape. They said it look like my car had water damage cause when they removed the back seats I guess to put the window in they said it had rust on it. I had the car since the day after Thankgiving of 07. The car been in the shop for 3 weeks of the 3 months I had it. I dont believe in riverside audi certified cars. I dont think they are being that so much stuff happens to them after you buy there cars. This is my first audi. I love the car just would not go back to riverside to get another one and I will never take it back there for service or nothing else. The service guy at Willow Grove Audi was very unplease with there service. They is giving audi a bad name selling these lemons.

When I went to Jack Daniels audi I didnt believe the guy when he said the all audi dealers dont sell quality cars. When I think of audi I think of bmw and mercedes dealers. I dont expect either of them dealerships to sell high end cars as lemons. I think they know. They have alot of out of towns buyers that dont know nothing of them thats how they get they money. They dont have to worry about seeing me again though.

That's pretty funny that Jack Daniels would say something like that.I have seen several situations mentioned here about how they sold a car to someone that was CPO. The customer finds out later, that there is a Carfax statement that shows that the car had been in an accident, but JD never told the customer about it. The car is not worth what it should be when they want to sell it because of this history. JD gets away with failure to disclose the true history of a car ,and rips people off. Nice. Audi of America does nothing about this stuff.

I am new to the board but currently I am in the process of buying a CPO 2006 A8L from them for $42k and so far the experience is pretty good especially since I am in Iraq making the purchase. I foundthe carthrough Audi'sCPO site and this one looked good for the price. If I have anything to report that is bad I will let you guys know.

NEVER TRUST A CPO CAR. it is a well known fact from experiences documented here that CPO means BS. The only way to know about a car is to have it gone over by a very well experienced and trusted outside mechanic. A Dealership will lie about anything to get you to buy a car. Even if they get caught lying to you, you still have to go to court, try to confront Audi of America about the situation, and then, even if you win a decision by the judge in court, then you have to try to collect. Just because a judge says someone is wrong, doen't mean you automatically get your money. If the guilty party doesn't pay up, and stalls you , you have to go after them to get your money. BE VERY CAREFUL, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE BUYING A CAR FROM A DISTANT LOCATION.
