well it works just a problem with communicating... my trans keep goin into limp mode every 5 mins  ... this is the first chip they have ever made for an sline but i am being patient because the results will be awesome ... the chip they have for a regular a6 should work perfect for you with no issues so id order it up if i were you ... prince overnighted me another sline file that he stayed late to program last night so im going to try that one today and if it doesnt work they are going to refund my money and find an sline that is local to test the program until it is flawless and then they will get in touch with me ... even though this has been going on for about 2 weeks im not even mad because of the leaps and bounds vast is making for me

Ok, so i have a question about the tip chip, Prince told me it is $315, but what exaclty does it do and is it a must if your chipped? Also how is the tip chip installed?

the price varries from program to program i assume.  It reduces shift time, fixes lazy transmissions, and prolongs life of your transmission. it is not a must however a tip chip will mangage the power of your ecu chip much better then your stock transmission file.  The chip is installed through an ecription board which needs to be soidered to the TCU.  i sent mine to vast because i didnt want to screw this up.

what was the total for parts and labor ... i brought my car in for 60-70k service and they said the tie rods were fine?  Will it cause more damage if I let them start to get worn out or should I just do the repair when needed?

let me know how you like the chip ... drive it for a few days though before you post your opinion because it will have to adapt to how you drive ... your car will prob feel like a rocket ship when you first drive it but after a few days itll get into your driving patern and adapt

You guys might be able to help me...
I''ve got a 2000 2.5tdi allroad tip, love the diesel, hate the tip. All my previous audis have had a real gearbox. I emailed VAST regarding a TCU chip for my non paddle 5-speed and they said they didn''t do one. Now from what I''ve read in various forums these tip chips work across the board on any tip tranny.
Suggestions to deliver me from slushy hell.
Further I''m a little confused as to the difference between reflashing to 032 spec vs tip chip. Educate me please.
