Hello all,

I'm new to this forum site. So bear with me. I have a '04 A4 1.8T quattro and there is a humming noise comming from the rear of the vehicle it was intermittent noise at first, and now is louder and consistent. Sounds like maybe a fuel pump related issue. It is onlynoticable when the engine is running and not when just power to the vehicle is on. I have only 48000 miles on it and was curious if any other users have seen this issue or had a simmilar issue with less than 50k on the odometer? I have the warranty, but wanted to know if there is an issue with audi's fuel assembly like the iginition coil problems that have plagued the 1.8t engines? Any assistance is greatly appreciated?

Does it make the noise when you are sitting at idle or is does it only start when you start driving? If it only makes the noise when you are driving that it is most likely a wheel bearing because they start with just a little noise and then as they get worse they become more consistent and louder.
