RS6 shock replacement - 2/4/2008 5:23:13 PM

My 2004 RS6 wagon with dynamic ride control has developed
severe stability problems, like if the shocks were shot.
My dealer has been unable to fix it, even after changing one shock
that was leaking.
I want to change to "regular style" performance shocks, like
Bilsteins, Konis. etc. but cannot find the proper ones.
Does anybody know of an adequate replacement? Has anybody
had the same problem and has been able to fix it?
Thanks
Julio

Stasis engineering, or Penske

The DRC can be fixed, requires the replacement of the shocks and central valves and recharging the system. Is it still under warranty?

Otherwise, Stasis or Bilsteins, tho I've heard there may be some clunking issues with them.

After a lot of searching I found Koni FSD kit 2100 4044
Had to set at highest possible height to prevent tire rub on fenders.
Ride is much smoother than stock.
Handling seems to be as good as when DRC was working well, although
there is a touch more body roll.
Cost is $1000, about 6 times less than replacing whole FRC system.
So far, a positive impression
Julio
