I'm looking to purchase an RS6 when I move to Dallas here in the next few weeks. Do these cars have navigation? I keep seeing ads that say they do but I can't find it in the interior, is it all voice?

your probally looking at the old rs6, and yes there is navigation but the information displays on the screen inside the dash, im pretty sure its all words and no map(not sure because mine did not come with it). People say its not worth the money. I have the warm weather package in mine along with the carbon fiber trim and the black sport sounding exhaust; pretty sure the nav is the only other opiton. The warm weather package is the best of them all, it keeps the car semi cool in the summer and the shades are great.

I were you I would not worry about the nav, and worry about the colors and mileage. Dont settle until you get the color combo you want. (For me it was daytona grey and black leather)

The navigation in the 2003 RS6 is pretty antiquated.  There is a display in the instrument cluster and also voice prompts as well.  The controls are a small dial and a few buttons just posterior to the mirror controls.  The interface is clunky, and nearly impossible to use while driving (yes, I know you're not supposed to use it while driving - but when the heck else do you use it?)  The turn by turn directions only get you to the approximate area, not the exact address.  I'm not even sure how often Navteq is updating the maps - I just received the most current version, but thusfar I have been unable to verify the date of the data.  I agree with Cinci RS6 - look for the other options first.

If you really want navigation, some people have swapped out the Bose Symphony II audio system for the newer DVD-based headunit with the lovely LCD display, but it looks like a fair bit of work.
