Hello again. I'm getting very close to finally ordering an RS4. I like the brushed aluminum trim idea (the car will be Avus Silver). But I can not find any pictures of interiors with this trim. They all have the standard carbon fibre. Does anyone have this option that could share their opinion, or better yet - a few photos. Thanks.

Tim

Good Luck

Thanks PW. I'm 9 hrs from Denver. I'd only drive to Denver to look at a car if I was driving a RS4. So its a catch 22 :)

I have a pretty good idea what the brushed aluminum would look like since its a very common trim in the S4's. I'd be comfortable ordering the car that way, but pics or opinions would help.

What do you think of the piano black trim? I like everything about the Titanium package except the piano black interior trim. It seems odd to have a trim with no texture - its just shiny black.

Hello, I had the brushed aluminum in my b7 a4 sline, my brother has the piano wood in his a4, and my rs6 has carbon fiber. Of all of these I would take the carbon fiber, followed by the aluminum and so on. The only draw back to the aluminum is that it doesnt really do anything for your car. It looks plain, as if it should just be there. The carbon fiber looks amazing and I wouldnt trade it for the world. The piano wood just looks to simple in a black interior car. Best bet is to go with the carbon fiber. Unless you get the audi exclusive package(which is the red and black interior) in that case you have to get the piano black wood.

I was indifferent to piano black accents if the truth be told.....I just loved the titanium package with the wheels and mirrors in that color. If i had to choose i would've gone with the carbon or aluminum, though the piano black does look pretty sharp in person. I have yet to se a RS4 in Colorado with the titanium package and that was my main point of contension. Either way you really can't go wrong with the B7 RS4 it is simply the best car i've ever owned.

I'll post some interior and exterior pics this weekend in the RS section and you guys can tell me what you think.

Good Luck with your hunt!

Hey there.

I was running the same problems when considering whether to keep the standard carbon fibre or take the brushed aluminum trim. IMO the CF looks stupid and gives you a headache but it still one of the things to make RS-line differ from others. I took the aluminum and I haven't been disappointed.

The first two pics are from my car. I'm sorry the rubber floor mat is dirty .
The other two are some pics I found on the internet. The last one has white sport seats to see how they are fit with those.

Either choice is good if the car is RS4. Enjoy!

Thanks JM!
The pics are very helpful. I just like the aluminum trim and the way it contrasts the interior. Its very sharp IMO.

The Euro seats and steering wheel are nice too!

I just got a '07 Phantom Black RS4 w/ the aluminum trim.  I actually purchased it not knowing which trim it was equipped with.  I just knew it was a dealer owned demo with 5,400 miles at about $15K off sticker.  That lured me to purchase regardless of the trim.  However, I really do like the contrast the brushed metal provides.  Previously I had only been in two different black RS4's and they both had the woven carbon trim.  The black carbon fiber sometimes gets ran down a bit.  It certainly doesn't take away anything from the excellent interior, I just find the tie in with the brushed metal exterior trim and the wheels synergistic.  So when you take the way the metal breaks up the black interior you find it's more visually appealing, plus it matches the exterior better.

I purchases a 2007 Daytona Grey with Avus Silver Seats and Aluminum trim. This car was 6000 miles used and had everything I wanted except the aluminum trim. I really wanted the carbon fiber.

Now that I have it, I am glad it has the aluminum. It makes a beautiful contrast. The whole package works much better with the trim.

If you go to audi.com and build an RS4 out, you can get an excellent picture of the package.

Good luck with your buy.
