Default New Rotors and Pads

Anyone have any suggestions? I have a 2000 A8L and I am looking to replace the rotors and pads. Not sure if I should go high performance. Also, what if I wanted to increase horsepower?

The stock rotors and pads produce about 25 horsepower compared to 50 for aftermarket. Obviously, just kidding. Are you doing them yourself or having them done? What is your budget?

Haha. Didnt mean to smoosh 2 questions together.....
I am going to do the rotors/pads myself. As far as my budget, i'd rather spend 700 and get something good than 400 and get something mediocre. Just something that I can feel. Thanks for the reply.

I have always had good luck with EBC pads and rotors on my other vehicles, and plan to install them on my A8 when it needs brakes. The Green Stuff pads mixed with the dimpled/slotted rotors works wonders on the other cars I have installed them on.
