I can tell you that the 2.8 is a great engine. It's not a rocket powerplant and it's not extremely moddable, but you've been around here long enough to know that. I've had exactly one problem with mine (bad passenger side cam sensor), and it was a piece of cake to fix. Overall the 2.8 is a very reliable engine and with the proper care it'll last a LOOONNNGGG time. It's adequately powerful for daily driving (actually, given the weight of the car and the fact that the engine is only rated around 190hp, it's pretty peppy, but no one's gonna mistake it for an RS4 engine). That being said, it seems to be a little high on the price, but if you search www.kbb.com you can find out if that's a fair price for your city/region, as there is a zip code entry you make there that will adjust the value for where you live.

Yeah, I'd say 10,5 is too much but if you also check edmunds.com I find it to be a little better tthen KBB.

the 2.8 will do your G-F great though.

no used car is in excellent condition....... so i would say 10,5 is about right then....... but you can always negotiate

i would tell them 9 or 9,5 and let them tell you no, tell them you will have to think about it and that there are a could of other cars you got to look at.... and start walking out the door

unless you are ok paying "sticker" then make them give you a certain value on her car
