Default New to the Forum! Hello! Couple Q's

Hey Guys,
New to the forum. Just picked up my first Audi, 2008 2.0T Quattro ("s-line") <-whatever that means, because its not a S4. It's in Deep Ocean Blue Pearlized.
Always been a bimmer guy, and just loved what the new Audi looked like, so i got one, so far so good!

Couple Questions:

What B model is this car? B6, B7, B8???

I'm looking to put in a performance chip right away. With BMW basically I would use Dinan, so I don't know any other aftermarket performance brands that are specifically for Audi. **** Also I am looking for a chip that does not VOID my factory warranty. This is for a Automatic tranny with Tiptronic.

Do you guys know the wheel specs for the '08 A4's? I'm also looking to get a light weight wheel, either 17 or 18's?

Last but not least, are there any good Audi sites for buying Audi aftermarket parts??? For BMW I would use BavAuto.com etc... looking for a specialty Audi site if they have them.

Thanks again, and appreciate any of your help! Hoping to be a active new member to your forum here

click here for general Audi info, and commonly asked questions:
http://www.audiforums.com/m_700266/tm.htm
And another good link:
http://www.audiforums.com/m_402135/tm.htm(Good Thread Links - NewMembersStart Here)
There is a lot good/general info in the stickies. Don't be afraid to call some of the retailers (www.purems.com, www.ecstuning.com, www.awetuning.com, www.034motorsport.com, to list a few)usually they are more than happy tohelpexplain things andhelp you find just what you're looking for.

Since you have a 2008, thereare probably not many (if any) reviews on '08 chip, exhausts, DVs, etc..., but if the the 2008 2.0T doesnt' have many changes from the '07, you might consider them ~equivalent.

Welcome to AF,and FYI, the mods will probably move this to B7 section.

he should still have a B7 because the B8's aren't out yet, unless I missed something.

a chip doesn't void your whole warranty, the dealer has to prove the chip directly caused the problem. but the only time i've heard of a chip that doesn't void any part of your warranty, is if you can find a dealer that installs them.

Newbie here also.
Don't mean to hijack the thread but I've been reading posts on this forum for two full days now finding lots of great information.
What I can't find however is a definitive definition anywhere that specifies what is a B6, B7, B8???
I've been to the above FAQ's several times and I can't find an answer to that question. If that information is there please accept my apology and point me in the direction of the nearest " Hooked on Phonics" seminar.
BTW- My "new" one is an 05' 3.0L A4 Cab.
Thanks
Vince D
