Not sure if this is the right forum for this ... My OEM wheels are kind of messed up. I was dumb enough to take them to a neighborhood shop to get tires installed, and they scratched the s..t out of them, around the outside of the rims and also near the wheel nuts trying to get the caps off. They're standard silver audi rims, sliver (Catalina?). What are my best options for repainting? Do I need to have the tires taken off, sandblast the rims, re-install tires, balance? Or can I get somebody to repaint them without removing the tires? Just want to get some basic knowledge before I go find a body shop.

So I found a local shop that will recondition wheels for $150/wheel They say the audi/bmw/merc silver is hard to reproduce, so $210/wheel. Sound OK, or is this bs?
