Solid Engine Light & Trouble Starting
Last week, when I was trying to go home @ about 10 PM, my car wouldn't start.
It was mad cold, so I figured that it must be a factor, but basically I got somebody to help me jump start it. It wouldn't just start after it was hooked up though. I had to gas it like crazy and basically force it to start after trying for about 20 minutes. Anyhow it worked then.
Last night, we had a really cold night too.
This time I went out at about 8 PM and was just gonna move my car.
The car started fine, and then the engine light started to flash.
I was scared shitless so I turned off the car.
I looked online to see if I could find anything without any luck.
So I head back out and try to start the car.
It starts, but now the engine light is solid.
I was like...crap.... it's a saturday night which means no mechanic's around till monday.
So I shut off the car again.
Sunday (today) morning I get out there and try to start the car again and this time, it won't even start. I try multiple times and it seems like the battery is dying on me. The sound is all faint and crap.
I finally do that jumpstart thing that I did last week and finally got it started, but this time, the engine light is still solid.
What the heck am I supposed to do??? What could be wrong??? Somebody mentioned an ignition switch, but it hasn't even been a year since I've replaced mine..... and I've replaced the transmission switch as well. Oh, one last thing... I'll get the codes checked out tomorrow, but engine was smoking a little bit???
Please HELP...
