Default 2006 A8L

I'm looking at a 2006 with 19k miles on it.

Any major problems with the 2006 models?

Thanks in advance.

Well its still pretty new, but looking for any TSB's and recalls on elsa don't yet exist for the 2006 model which is a huge plus. [8D]
Personally, i haven't done any repair work on an 06 besides an oil changeand a tire pressure monitoring issue.

Thanks!

Any idea if the iPod interface can be installed on the 2006 model?

I just purchased one similar. iPod interface can be done...I got a quote for about $900 installed....but you will lose your CD changer capabilities.

One thing that I have been having a bit of a hard time with is finding the sweet spot in the seat. I had a long drive home when I first purchased it and was a bit uncomfortable...I don't know if it is the piping in the seats or the seams going across the seats. I have the ventilated seats. Did you notice anything? I didn't notice on test drives, but those are usually shorter than the drive home in this case.

Thanks

I haven't purchased the car, so no long time in the seat.

I think I'm going to get an 07 or later given the time chain and ipod not losing CD changer.

I found some still new 07's in my area (San Francisco) that they were discounting $13000 off of MSRP. However, i still couldn't justify the $10K+ more over an 06 with a few miles. I don't recall reading anything about a time chain issue and I did do a lot of research before buying the car...trust me I drove my wife crazy!

I don't mind losing the CD changer since all the music is on the iPod. Remember that it was late 07's that have the AMI interface with the iPod ability and keeping the CD changer.

Good luck in your search.
