Is that the stock intake manifold. If so did you just like sand it down and polish it? looks a lot better than  stock.

I got a stock '98 a4 that I'm looking to start modifying. I'm new to this though, so I'm gunna need some input as to what to get and where to get it (preferrably online). First off I want to chip it. From what I hear a chip is a low budget start to adding some performance to the car. What chip would you guys reccomend? Second I'd like to add some angle eye lights. Any reccomendations on where to find a legit set that won't cost a mint? Third, and last (until I get some more money), I'd like to add a good, throaty sounding exhaust. Nothing too loud and annoying like what you see taped to civics and accords. Just something noticeably deep, but mellow at the same time. Reccomendations for that?

to answer that side question... im going with a milltek exhaust eventhough its a few hundred bucks more then nuspeed or some others for the only reason that it give a nice deep yet unobtrusive sound. when im pulling away from a civic i dont want them to pay attention to the muffler-less lawn mower sounding car next to them, i just want to quietly show them my 4 rings.

for chip info, just search the forum for "b5 chip" you will find atleast 8 billion posts about it, ebay is SOMETIMES a good place to buy headlights but you have to weed thru alot of garbage to find the good ones. there was a good site i remeber i found a link to on these forums but i forget where it was, just look around or search.

alright thanks. I decided I'm gunna go with a borla exhaust, apr 91 oct. chip, and I found some legit looking lamps, but I don't have the money for them right now, so I'm not too concerned about it... but first on the list, I'm painting it. From "laser" red to a nice deep blue. Somone mentioned the color to me, but I forgot the name, but it has some purple in it when the sun hits it. THen next on the list is some new speakers, a sub, and and amp.
