Well I finally picked her up a week ago. I'm thoroughly impressed with the the car. It handles like a dream and it's steering is so tight it feels like new. The condition inside and out is fantastic. I've noticed on the highway that it's so easy to creep past 140 - 150 kph without really noticing it.
I had all of the 160,000 km maintenance done now at 124,000 kms (timing belt, water pump, thermostat, ancilliary belts, oil change, filter, etc) just so I'm starting from a clean slate. It also had one wheel bearing changed, new rotors and pads front and rear, a new drivers side interior door handle replaced and complete interior and exterior detailing done prior to delivery. Normally, black is low on my list for desirable colours because of their inherent need to be constantly clean. This being my first black car, I must say I'm quite enthralled by how it looks (when it's clean and waxed).

A nice small comfortable compact for daily driving with a little touch of class was all I needed.

Wait, didn't we see these pictures before (but maybe with your old car?) I remember making fun of the blue cars hood and your tail lights, and also the pictures looking just like that so maybe it was right when you got your S that you took these??? I'm going crazy

No I did post those before I think. And yes everyone makes fun of the blue car. HAHA. He has since changed the tails and took the hood thing off the same night we took those pictures... to bad he didn't do it before we took them.
I just figured I would throw them up here in this thread. LOL

My 1996 2,6 Quattro Sport.
Engine and tranny are completely stock, for the moment.
A work in progress, I am installing an S8 motor, and S4 6-speed tranny.
7,2 kilo flywheel arrived last night.
Waiting on engine harness and EMS.
