Default Are you really n enthusiast....well then solve this

hey fellas, i just bought a 2006 audi a4 2.0T s-line auto tiptronic. it has about 32,000mi on it n i love it. the only problem is that when the car isat idle(in park n drive), it starts to vibrate meaning it shakes. its mostly on the passenger side but its so bad that you can even see the light from the headlights moving up and down. i took the car in for service 3 times already in 2 months n they fix everything else but this. anyone know what the problem could be???? or do i just need to go to a new dealership.....still have the warranty =)
thanx

Well you have to realize, the car is only a 4 cylinder, meaning at idle, its going to vibrate a lot more then a V6 or higher would. When you start moving, the RPM should increase, making the vibrations less noticeable and the ride somewhat smoother. If you think the car is really vibrating an abnormal amount, it could be that a cylinder is misfiring or something else is malfunctioning with the engine. Chances are if something was wrong, the check engine light would come on, but its always possible that its not being caught by the system. I'm sure if you brought it in to a dealership, a mechanic would be able to tell you if the vibrations are a result of normal function or an indication of an issue.

its certainly not normal at all - are the revs too high? engine mount is a possibility? has it been in an accident?
