Default Electrical Problem

I have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T. My check engine light is on and was analized as a Camshaft alignment sensor. The sensor checks out as good, the timing belt was also checked and is ok. The top end is new from a timing belt break and repair before I bought it. I need advise as to what to do next? Also I was told that the Crankshaft sensor might be bad, or the Can Bus (computer). Any Electronics geeks out there with some idea as to my next step.

Post the code. Does the engine run poorly? How was the sensor tested?

if the sensor is good, and the belt is good.. might just be miss timed too.. ive seen those running fine, same code, but almost 5 teeth off.. you would think it would be breaking valves, but the dumbass who timed it just got real lucky...
