Default fluttering DV?

A while back i posted for some help on a strange noise i was hearing from what sounded like the area that would be directly behind the center console area. Yesterday I popped my hood and had someone put the car in neutral, hold the brake and run up the RPMs then release. On the release I could hear kind of a faint fluttering sound from the area that is in the front of the engine about mid way between the passanger side headlight and the center of the car. Is this a faulty DV? Thanks in advance. You are all great.

Default RE: fluttering DV?

That is the location of the dv, and soundsthat it is likely the dv has gone bad or there is a vac leak. But withouta boost gauge it is hard to say for sure. If you have the stock dv # 058 145 710 (commonly referred to as the 710), I'll sell you mine for a reasonable price. It worked fine when I took it out before installing the Forge 007p dv. PM me if you need it, and I can ship it on Monday. I'll take $25 plus shipping cost (the 710N at ECS tuning is $45 on sale now if you are looking for the TT upgrade dv).
