Default '96 A8 3.7 V8 High fuel consumption???

Hello there.

My audi has (or should i say, i have) a problem with the mpg. Specs say that it should "drink" 14l/100km city, and 9l/100 km hwy. Mine drinks 20l/100 city, and about 15l/100 hwy. Any ideeas why?

Spark plugs new, ICM new, no errors (scanned with vag com). Sometimes it misfires when very cold, and CAT flashing + SRS on. Don't know why. Restarting the engine cures it.
Also, when cold, sometimes the yellow light (small car with a key on it) flashes (i sometimes get a code for immobiliser signal too low-intermittent). I suppose tis light flashing is the immobiliser?

Any help is welcome. THX
