Default Transmission swap

What is the possibility of getting an automatic changed to a manual? would it be better to just sell ur car and find one like it in a stick?

Yes. It is way to much work and pricey. Not to mention the cranks on the longitude engines are differnt on tips and manuals. You would have to change blocks or take the one apart to change the crank

I destroyed my first tip and thought about a swap but there are two problems. For the B6 they are very hard to come by and the price is ridiculous. Also the install is expensive. It really is not cost effective in my opinion unless you are a mechanic. In the end you are looking at least 5k. If you are hell bent on a manual in that car just keep your eye out for possible donor cars from local junk yards. In the end you still will probably have to get the odds and ends from the stealership.
