2000 A6 4.2 quattro sport
100k miles

.....and my 2007 yamaha r6, it's decently quick for what it is. only got 1000 miles on this one.
it's since had the rear fender and front fork reflectos deleted and soon the front turn signals with be flush mounted gregg's customs as well.
you can see my cobra in the background, THAT thing drinks gas. it's ok though, it's all worth it.

Well I don't ride a motorcycle, but I have a buddy that drives a B6 A4 USP and rides an R6 if that counts.

Nice Norton. Way to go bro- keep it Euro!

I've got an '07 A6 3.2, a Harley Sportster ('06 Rubbermount) and a '93 Moto Guzzi California  III.

Forget about pictures- I'm still trying figure out how to post a reply.

The bikes are a nice alternative to the car, but to be honest I'll take the luxury of having a roof, AC, radio and all the rest over exposure to the elements. I save the bikes for the nice days (sunny and mild, no rain/no wind) as much as possible. Of course I could get a Gold Wing!

nice nice nice....I by far enjoy riding in the A6 over the bike-
the only thing i really miss is the power to weight ratio of the R6. Keep in mind i felt like the A6 2.8 was fast, haven only driven a honda civic and toyota camry as my primary vehicles.....

i want to turbo it...everyone says no no no- compression is to high..but i just dont buy it.
im not getting an 2.7t or 4.2 just to have more power because i got what i got....
anyone know of people who have turboed the 2.8..im fairly comfortable with everything turbo except fuel management for the AUDI.....

I've ridden bikes for a long time.

Last year purchased a BMW K1200RS.  Gorgeous and fun!  Maybe not as racy as my Ducati ST4 was, but I'm very happy with the Beemer.

I also own a Suzuki LC1500 which is a power cruiser.  I'm selling it this upcoming season though because I don't ride it enough.

Looking forward to the Summer!

Take care,
Mark

I used to borrow one to ride, but I would never own one. I've seen to many donorcycle accidents.

1977 Honda Goldwing Gl1000 (56k) miles that I bought in August of 1978.  Added Vetter fairing, lowers, and radio; dual bucket saddle, and Samsonite luggage.  Rarely ridden over the last three years since I added a 2005 Crossfire Roadster to my stable and have been enjoying driving that in the summer.

so axel, how exactly does that gps tracking thing work with your bike? is there some kit that you can buy for that or something? i'm just thinking that that would be a great idea, especially if it gets stolen. also, what's that sms cellphone thing you're talking about?

the gps device is install like lojack in the bike, but is an device like a cellphone, with intern battery.is acctive all the time, but motion sensor and gepfance must be activated if you want to have text message (sms)on your phone and email. i got it like an antiteft protection, has 24/7 assistance in case the bike get stolen, and the signal is the same like gsm coverage. if i call the number of the gsp from my phone , i recive an text message on my phone i, and an email n less than a minute with the address where the bike is, is pretty cool. the motion sensor.... if you move the bike ,you got a message and  emailwith the info that  the bike is in motion and the address , you have geofance that you set around your block and if is on , when the bike leave that perimeter you get inform via text message and email that the bike leave the area you set.

I sold my '02 R6 about a year ago.....then 3 weeks later it was stolen from the guy who bought it. It had 12k miles, full two brothers performance exhaust, power comander, Ivan's jet racing kit, biger teath, sliders, double buble windshiled and bluh bluh bluh..... it tops out at 150-152mph but gets there in seconds, 10.8 in the quater. I wont by another crouchrocket, by would like to get a slow and loud choper.

I have a 2004 A6 2.7T with the awesome Quattro :)

I got into an accident while riding my bike (enduro: used to ride off and on road with it) when I was 17... years ago... and busted my knee/leg pretty bad, spent 4 months in hospital and full time physical rehab centers. My leg looked like a V but towards the side... Haven't ridden since.
Now I am thinkig about buying another one but don't want a corchrocket as they are pointless to ME since you can't really speed on the roads (tickets/cops and stupid drivers), I would not do track and they are just dangerous... and I am too olld for them I think:) I am not looking to ride it daily and or busy roads. I am not into Harleys, just too big (like american cars) and loud though they do look good, then again I don't know anything about them (sorry in advance). So I am thinking of another mix trail/road kinda bike though i am not sure which are available in the US and legal for both purposes or an old euro bike such as a Norton or Triumph for easy going back road week-end riding.

I personally don't think a Ninja should be anyone's first bike.  These things are devilishly fast  and require some riding experience.  My advice (I have been riding since the tender age of 14) is to start on a smaller and comfortable used (because you will drop it a few times while learning to ride) bike, then progressively move on to larger and faster bikes as you put miles under your belt.  It is too easy on a Ninja to go fast, very fast, and deadly fast...  Best advice is for you to take a BRC course and get your license that way.  It is fun, and you get a feel for different bikes, allowing you to find your riding style.  Riding dirt is another fun way to learn...

Thanks zippy. Good advice I was looking for. I have heard they are fast and I know bikes are fast but you gave a good heads up on the Ninja. I feel like like I'm 5 again. Being told how to ride a bike and getting used to it. lol

i would start again with a cbr 600 f4i, honda, easy to repair, cheap parts and everywhere , easy to handle. the position on the bike is mix between sport and touring , non agressive. i think is a good bike to learn on. and.. don`t buy new ! if is first bike.and don`t change nothing on it , just learn how to drive. after that get a real bike and custom it . this got stolen....rip
