Default thinking of buying a 05.5 3.2

Hey guys, I'm new here and am thinking of buying a 05.5 A4 3.2 quattro. The car has 57k miles, and is in okay condition. There are some cosmetic dings and such on it, but as far as I could tell everything was in good working order. In general how have these cars been holding up. I called Audi and they havethe 5k, 15k, 25k, 35k,& 45k service on record. Is it a bad idea to be purchasing this car out of warranty? The car drove great and I was very impressed with the 3.2's sound and power along with the 6 speed tiptronic. The car has the nav system and I remember specifically it had memory seats (what ever package that is a part of). They are asking $18,800 for it. How is the price? Anyone have any advice before I pull the trigger?

Thanks for your help,

Tom

The price seems alright. I would have the Timing belt checked out. Also are you buying it from a Non-Audi dealer?

How often do the timing belts have to be adressed and how much do they cost? The car is not at a audi dealer...

Thanks,

Tom

Anytime you buy an audi or really any car outside of its scheduled maint, ie, 57K miles, you need to be prepared to pay for anything that goes wrong with it. Audis are much different than hondas or toyotas! I would have a full inspection done before I bought the car. Its a good deal if you love the car!

How has everyone's B7 been holiding up? I know Audi's had some issues before, but suposidley they "worked the bugs out". But who knows, thats what is always said, but many times not true. Any other experiences or advice? I think im going to go tomorrow and try and work out a deal on it.

Thanks

Tom
