Default short throw shifter

anyone know what's the best short throw shifter? B & M or JHM...I have a 96' 2.8 12V
I understand that was a split year production...I'm getting mixed info from manufacturer's...
From what I seen most use some of the old plastic sockets...Thanks!

jhm.

i'm not experienced with either, but i know people who've sold their b&m for a jhm shifter with no regrets. i'm sure both are great and both have satisfied customers. i'm waiting to put some more money into my car before i can justify buying a short shifter, when i do, it'll definitely be a jhm short throw.

i would consider looking at the ebay b&m replica short shifters.

MANY people run these with no problems, as they are an exact copy of the B&M shifter that costs over $200...and you can pick that up for around $50 or so

look at pics of the ebay and B&M shifters next to each other. they're identical. no reason to spend a couple hundred

JHM would be the highest quality you'd probly find. its slightly different than the B&M, and they offer upgrades for the linkage and stabilizer too.

I'm going to order the JHM shifter soon. From what I've seen it's hands down the best shifter especially if the B&M is near $200. For $230 it's made from quality parts and built well and instead of keeping that ball and socket joint it uses a machined ball bearing race which is way better. It also comes with those shims for the rods that hold the shifter(I forget what their called but if you look on the site you'll see)

well the knockoff b&m is like 40 shipped. and its the exact same thing. so there's zero point in buying a b&m anymore. but yeah, if you want the highest quality and are willing to pay, JHM is the way to go.
