How can I tell what condition the Tranny Fluid is on my 2.8L?

Auto (Tiptronic)? Only way to tell is to drain the fluid. If your car has anything more than 80K miles, I say it is a good idea to replace the fluid and the filter. I can send you a DIY if you want.
