tj19855 -> Help I need 2 new Catalytic Converters on a A4 3.0!!! (2/22/2008 6:03:02 PM)

I took it to the dealer today cuz I had an Engine Light On and they said I need 2 new Catalytic Converters $2900 each! I went to some exhaust shops and they would not do it, cuz its too hard and they dont make an universal cats for this car 02 A4 3.0, only OEM from dealer. Is that true? what do I do? I got 97,000 miles on it huge decrease in gas milage and performance.
