Default Dual Zone Climate Control

Hi all,

Another question for the forum.

Yesterday I was in my 2006 TDI loaner car. (Mine is in to resolve some ongoing gremlins in the ESP system that have existed since I picked up the car.) (Oh, and we will see...Superchips assured me their chip is stealth...we will see because I'm sure Audi will be working heavily on the computer systems of the car given that the problem is with the ESP) Which they changed...and it still throws error codes and lights up the indicator on occasion...ODD!

As I was changing the left side temperature dial, I noticed that the car automatically changed the right side too. I thought this was brilliant, given that I'm in the car 90% of the time by myself. However, after I moved the right hand temperature control, the left no longer controlled both temperatures.

Does anyone know how/if the dual controls can BOTH be controlled by the left, but also leave the right independent? And if this is not possible, can the two be linked? Personally, I think dual zone is a gimmick...just means I have to move both temp knobs, and they are LOW in the car and a fairly large distraction when negotiating the chaos of Taipei streets!

Any ideas?

THANKS ALL!

Just hold down the auto button for a few seconds to link both with the left controller.

Cheers!

Let us know how that goes.
