Yeah man the Escalade is just the winter toy.. got to have the ps2 driving up to the moutnains:D. It's about to be sold so I can get my Cayenne turbo, I'm most likely going to go with white though and get all black accents.

The GIAC chip boosts more TQ than HP, which is why the hp is lower.. The other 2 RS6s that had dyno'd there had around 370-380 AWHP, not sure what mods they had.
After a few custom mods from 3zero3 Motorsports the HP will get up there in the 400s..

First of all... nice car, the smoked lights fit the car very well esp. b/c of its color.
the escalade: uhh, not a fan. cayenne turbo: awesome though

No when they say 450 HP stock that is flywheel HP..
The GIAC chip adds almost 50 HP and around 100 TQ
so flywheel numbers would be 498 HP and 601 TQ

Forge DVs and Rims will be coming next week..

hmm they look good, not bad esp. since the lips will be painted.... i gotta say they will make the car look more aggressive over the stock rims.... more of a matter of personal taste, you've got to like it.
the car would look all stealth since everything is being blacked out LOL, nice. i had to look at the pics for a bit to imagine them on.

but yea, it will be quite hard finding a size that will fitesp. because of those huge lips which mess up the offset drastically, you will have to worry about clearing the brakes (big calipers). all a mater of finding finding the right size width and offset

holy god those must cost a fortune. But from reading the post that doesnt seem to be a problem. love the car and i am planning on selling my s4 and buying an 03 rs6 so this is very interesting to me.

I used a vinyl material that I got online.. I thought it was going to be a little darker, but I think it fits the car better since it's almost a dark grey.

Yeah it took like an hour to install..

Was kind of pissed because they told me it was going to take FOUR hours and they were going to have to take off the front clip but no.. It was simple shit and took an hour. At least my car will be in that magazine with 3zero3 Motorsports..

so can you tell the difference with just the valves? I hear different comments, mainly that there is no change in performance from working factory valves vs. aftermarket ones. I'll spend the money if there's a difference, otherwise, I'll wait til the stock ones give out.

The valves are more for maintaining power rather than increasing performance.. I don't really notice a difference, it just sounds a little different.

I saw this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7uy7v6-s4c) and it makes me want to go get test pipes and the resonators cut out soon.. I'm going to try and get it done while I'm out of town.

What can you tell me about the chip? Gains? Losses (mpg). Can you adjust the front/rear bias of the diff?

the escalade: uhh, not a fan. cayenne turbo: awesome thoughI wish I could agree - I hated my Cayenne Turbo. It's what the R8 replaced. Cayenne was an awesome vehicle, but for some reason it's personality and mine just didn't get along. Bummer! (I do miss the panoramic sunroof, though)

My RS6 is way more aggressive with the chip.. The GIAC adds more TQ than HP so it will pull hard even when your doing 120+. The HP/TQ gains were around 50 HP and 100 TQ with the eng/tip and Milltek catback. The MPG is still around the same as stock when your not really on it.. but when you are flat out the average MPG says 5. I'm not really sure if you can adjust the diff with the trans chip? When my chips were installed they just said the eng and trans chip work really well together, and you can damage the trans if you just have the engine chip.

My BBSs came in earlier today, the diamond black finish looks really good. I just can't decide now if I should paint the lip black because the rims are so dark already..

I'd say leave them that way they look sick. You cant really tell a difference on mine unless your right up close, plus yours already have the matching lip. heres a pic:

The carbon you installed in the R8 looks F'kin nice man, to bad they don't have any carbon pieces for the RS6..

I keep wondering if the R8's front rims will work on all four corners of the RS6. I plan on putting the carbon Dymags on the R8 eventually and would end up w/a spare set of rims... I don't think the rears would fit, though. If fronts fit the RS, then I'll search out a second set of fronts and have a set for it.

Anyone know what the offset and width of the RS rims are? R8 are 8.5 and 10.5 x 19. Not sure what the offset is, though.

I'm in the process of making carbon Audi rings and R8 logo right now - they look sweet so far. I still have interior stuff to install too. Just waiting on a couple other pieces before I gut the interior of the 8. That's going to be fun. :(

What other pieces of carbon could you want for the RS? Mine came w/the carbon option - door trim, center console trim, across the dash. It's quality is killer. You can probably order it from Audi if you don't have it.

Plans for the RS are chip it, get rid of the DRC and put something else in it (I know not what yet - need to do research), change out the good weather rims & tires and make the stock rims winter runners.

Damn the carbon Dymags would look amazing on the R8..
The R8 rims on the RS6 would look good, and the NEW RS6 rims would also look pretty sexy I'm thinkin. I'll get you the width here in a few, I have to look up what I ordered for my BBSs.

Mine has the carbon interior too, but I'm a CF whore.. any more CF bits in the interior would be cool.

I think next I'm going to get the resonators cut out on the milltek exhaust, should make it a little louder.

I'm going to end up with three sets of c/f rings. Spent part of the morning sanding the first one - oh what fun...

I'm not sure if I'll have one or two sets of the rings available. Depends on if I decide to put a set on the RS or not.

Depending on demand, and how easy this project ends up NOT being, I may be persuaded to make more. A buddy of mine and I start w/the raw materials, lay up two layers, vacuum bag it, cnc the shapes, sand, clear coat, sand some more, clear coat again and then buff them out. It's a pain in the ass...

The unfortunate thing about them is that they're flat and not raises like the regular Audi rings are. I purchased a ring badge and worked on trying to mold the c/f around them. The surface is too abrupt in areas for me to get a good wrap around the badge.

I also have tried a couple other ways, with a mold and plug, different vacuum techniques - once again, not the results I wanted. But, that said, the flat rings that I'm going to end up with really do look good. And as a bonus, they're more aerodynamic! - yea, that's the selling point - low profile, more aero! (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

We also have a test set of license plate frames that I need to work on. I can't quite get the corner of the frames to sink down into the mold like I want...

The GSX looks awesome. is that strictly track car? As far as the B5 dont waste your money on an intake, unless hearing your Dv and turbo is really that important, you wont gain anything else. I'd use that dough on some sways or other suspension stuff.

BTW, I want a ride once the turbo is on.

And I check craigslist and autotrader for the hell of it alot so I'll keep and eye out for a good B5.

The GSX will be a drag/track car but ill still keep it streetable.. I went with DSM link instead of the standalone AEM for that reason. Plus Ill probably sell the car around the end of winter? Depends on how I like it :D

Ya they could def do some paint work for ya. They may actually like doing something custom rather than just fixing someones bashed up pos for a change. I really want my roof painted black too. that and I need a new windshield.

Do you know about High Plains Raceway? It's a new road course being built out near Byers. should be done in the next 6-8 months. I wouldn't sell the DSM until you get a few laps in there.

I can't wait for high plains to be finished. I heard you can be a member of the tack and get track time on certain days? If so I'll definitely be getting a membership.

Ya being a track member there gets you a country club like access to facility. Its basically open as long as theres no other events going on. Hopefully by the time it opens I'll have a garage, thats when I begin looking for a project of my own.
