I just bought a 2002 A6 2.7T Tip last week and I'm ready to start modding it. My goal is about 300hp at the wheels WITHOUT upgrading to the K04 turbos and WITHOUT chipping! I'd also like a mid 13 sec. qtr. mile time. I just bought a set of 235/40/18 BFGoodrich TA KDW tires. Is this possible? This is a list of parts that I'm interested in getting: VAST piggies & phelonic intake manifold spacers, port/polished t.body & int. manifold APR exhaust & bi pipe upgraded diverter valves upgraded air intake *The reason I want to save money & skip the k04 turbos and chipped ecu is because I'm also building a MKIV Supra Turbo right now as well.

Chances of you getting to 300hp with the parts you want is pretty feasible as long as the engine is in good shape and has been maintained that includes your turbo.

You might as well just get the chip, that will put your numbers way up there, for not that bad of a price.

I think you will fall well short of your goal without chipping. With what you are planning + Chip... maybe then.

NO way you'll gte to 300 AWHP, not even withthe chip I think. You're looking at a 20, maybe 25% drivetrain loss. The air intake might actually suck a few ponies. Exhaust adds just a few HP. I think Piggies and intake spacrs are yuor best mod. As for mid 13's 1/4m, do the chip to get there...

You'll need to chip it no matter what. It's probably the most cost effective thing you can do, which is what you're after. And if you plan on getting into the mid 13's without it, you better take out all your seats and sh*t. :)

Not even close to 300 whp with those mods! With a chip, downpipes, exhaust(aka stage 2+) you may reach maybe 275 whp...maybe

^ Yup Go KO4s for 300AWHP. You'd need 400 at the crank and it ain't happening with these mods.. Tips especially will be a little slower... I have lots of mods, including the above and chip.... and I would guess I am at 350-360, which is b/w 270/280at the wheels. To get to the 13;s also consider a tip chsip to improve shifting. You might gain another 1/4 second + with it

Yea if you want to reach those #'s that bad on the 2.7 you're gonna have to make a choice between your 2 cars. Getting to 300whp you'll also need to upgrade your fueling system as well. Looking at 600cc+ inj's, fuel pump, tip chip for sure like gigi said. You'll possibly need to upgrade your valvebody too. All this will set you at 400-450bhp and 300-325whp. Your engine will have to be properly tuned since the chip won't do. It aint cheap but definetely worth it. I think if you want a straight performance machine go all out on your supra and just chip your 2.7t as a nice fast cruising sedan.

A correctly installed APR or GIAC chip will not cause the service check light to go on.

I don't believe you'll get anywhere near 300WHP....But replacing these crappy intercoolers will reduce heatsoak after 60mph and get you close to your 1/4 mile run time

The only way to go is the chip. The Piggies, Bipipe, and Diverter valves (710n) will not get you there and IMHO the exhaust is not the way to go at all. Considering the chip and piggies will add about 70hp for under $1000, and the exhaust will run you over $1200 and only give you minimal gains. The DV's and Bipipe will add hp if your stock TBB and DV's are broken, but are mainly a preventitive measure. The Tip Chip from Vast will help shifting, and i think your car could rev higher than stock. Shot Answer, pay only $600 or so and get the chip
